From Whiteparish you can travel by bus to Romsey, Salisbury, and Southampton (and intermediate stops, of course) on services
provided by "Salisbury Reds" (or just "Reds"), which operates the local routes of the Wilts & Dorset bus company. Two of their routes include a stop at Whiteparish Church: the X7 service runs between Salisbury and Southampton, taking in Totton, and basically following the A36 most of the way; and the X7R service which also runs between Salisbury and Southampton but takes a detour down the A27 to visit Romsey too. For full, up-to-date information about timetables, routes, etc, see the Salisbury Reds website by clicking here. For further information about these and any other Wilts & Dorset services, you can also visit the bus service information on the county council's website by clicking here,
Please note that as from early January 2015, the Salisbury Reds 34 service has been withdrawn, and so no longer stops at Whiteparish. Or anywhere else. |
Whiteparish has no railway station of its own. However, there is a station at West Dean, just a couple of miles away, providing services to
Salisbury and Southampton, and beyond (northward to Bristol etc and southward to Portsmouth).
Salisbury (10 miles), Southampton (16 miles), and Eastleigh (18 miles) are the nearest mainline stations, providing access to local and long-distance services throughout the UK rail network.
